New James Bond Book

Last July the estate of Ian Fleming, author of the James Bond books, went looking for an author to write a new James Bond book to honor the 100th birthday of Fleming; they found Sebastian Faulks. And, writing “As Ian Fleming,” Faulks has written “Devil May Care,” the newest Bond book to be released on May 28 of this year – the birthday Ian Fleming.

Nothing is known about the book, which is as it should be, but the front cover is circulating.

Faulks is described as an “acclaimed English novelist” and best known for his work “Charlotte Gray”, which later became a motion picture starring Cate Blanchett. Devil May Care is described as being “80% Fleming,” hence the front covers “…writing as Ian Fleming.” It takes place a year after Fleming’s final book – which was published posthumously – “Octopussy and the Living Daylights”.
