DILBERT Gets Animated--In Comics This Time

The favorite comic strip of cubicle slaves worldwide, Scott Adams' Dilbert has been translated into an animated format.
RingTales, the creative team behind DreamWorks' feature Over The Hedge, have sealed an exclusive agreement with syndicator United Media to produce and distribute animated adaptations of the popular Dilbert comic. This deal makes Scott Adams' creation the first globally recognized strip to feature a daily animated version.

Having already launched on Dilbert.com, MSN, YouTube and iTunes, the animated comic soon will be available for RSS feeds, widgets, mobile units and other websites.

RingTales President Michael Fry said, "With the addition of Dilbert to our already popular NEW YORKER animations, we're poised to begin to replicate the habit-forming print comic experience in animation, anywhere people can watch or read comics in digital form."

Adams himself gave the new strips a ringing endorsement. "RingTales got everything right on these."
