Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol Release Date Moved Back To December 21st!
The next Mission: Impossible film will be pushed to a December 21st release date (nearly a week after its intended December 16th debut) to avoid competition with Sherlock Holmes 2 and Alvin & The Chipmunks 3. More after the jump!
Deadline is reporting that Paramount is moving the release date of the latest Mission: Impossible film, Ghost Protocol, will be changed from December 16th to 21st. The 16th is already crammed in with Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows and Alvin & The Chipmunks: Chipwrecked, while the biggest competition on the 21st for Ghost Protocol will be Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. Paramount Pictures will move Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol from its Dec. 16, 2011 release date to Wednesday, Dec. 21, putting the picture smack into the holiday corridor. That moves the film back from opening against Warner Bros' Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows and Fox's Alvin and the Chipmunks sequel.
