Chris Tucker In Talks For The Silver Linings Playbook

The Rush Hour actor is in talks to play in David Russell's upcoming drama The Silver Linings Playbook, set to begin production this fall...
Variety/Showblitz is reporting that Chris Tucker - last seen in 2007's Rush Hour 3 - is returning to film again, as he's in talks to play a role in David Russell's upcoming adaptation of the novel The Silver Linings Playbook. The film is set to begin production later this year, starring Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, and Robert DeNiro.

The motor-mouthed comic, who last appeared on the big screen in 2007’s “Rush Hour 3,” is in talks to join David O. Russell’s “The Silver Linings Playbook”. "Playbook” stars Bradley Cooper as a former high school teacher who’s institutionalized for depression and released into the care of his mother. He tries to win back his ex-wife but becomes involved with an eccentric neighbor (Jennifer Lawrence) with problems of her own. Tucker will play Cooper’s spirited friend who lives in a mental hospital but often escapes to visit the troubled protag.

The Silver Linings Playbook will hit theaters sometime in 2013.
