iGames Announces Gears Tournament For PC
iGames, the world's leading LAN Center Association, has announced that it will be holding a Gears of War for Windows $3,000 Tournament.
The tournament will be sponsored by Microsoft Game Studios™ and Games for Windows LIVe®.
It will take place between 12/15/2007 and 12/16/2007 (Saturday and Sunday). Gamers will compete in 2 versus 2 (Warzone) through two stages of brackets. Saturday will consist of four single-elimination brackets, with up to 32 teams per bracket. The top two teams will per bracket will advance to an 8-team double-elimination championship bracket, which will be played through on Sunday (12/16).
Gamers who compete from one of the 16 official Game Center Host Locations will be guaranteed a slot in the tournament, and will also receive exclusive giveaways for participating:
