Blizzard Entertainment Korea, in conjunction with Korean Air, today announced co-marketing plans for its highly anticipated real-time strategy game, StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty.
With this joint promotion, a character image of Jim Raynor, a terran hero from StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty, will be wrapped on two of Korean Air’s planes using special films and paint. The two wrapped airplanes - a B747-400 and a B737-900 - will fly domestic routes in Korea as well as international routes in the U.S. and European regions for six months starting on June 24 and in early July, respectively. In addition, four Korean Air limousine buses wrapped with StarCraft II character images will be in service during this period.
Blizzard Entertainment and Korean Air unveiled the first StarCraft II airplane to approximately 400 industry partners and press during the StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty launch press event at the Korean Air hangar located at Gonghang-dong, Kangseo-gu, Seoul on June 24.
“We’re pleased to be partnering with Korean Air, Korea's leading airline, on this campaign,” said Paul Sams, chief operating officer of Blizzard Entertainment. “As we approach the global launch of StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty, this promotion represents a unique, large-scale opportunity to introduce the characters and style of the StarCraft universe to gamers throughout the world.”

We look forward to positioning ourselves as a global airline that appeals to the younger generation by operating airplanes wrapped with StarCraft II images and celebrating the launch of StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty."
StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty will be released on July 27, 2010 worldwide, including Korea.
