The Three Stooges are back and returning for more big-screen action! This time, Bob and Peter Farrelly are bringing the 3 to life in the upcoming movie scheduled for Spring 2012! For a more in-depth analysis on it read this:
20th Century Fox has settled on a Spring 2012 theatrical release date for The Three Stooges, which is reportedly being structured as a collection of three half-hour segments (like the classic Stooges shorts) that pick up with the quarrelsome trio at different periods in their lives. Fox has chosen April 4th, 2012 as the release date for Three Stooges. That will give it a two day head-start on another comedy title, American Reunion (a.k.a. American Pie 4). It’ll be interesting to see which brand of comedy plays out better with general audiences - the old-fashioned vaudeville antics of the Stooges or the raunchier hijinks of the American Pie squad. How the different gags (both physical and gross) are executed will definitely affect the outcome, of course.

The film will follow Larry, Moe and Curly as they try to save their childhood home, but accidentally become involved in a murder plot and in a modern-day twist will end up starring in a reality TV show.
The Three Stooges will star Sean Hayes as Larry, Chris Diamantopoulos as Moe, and Will Sasso as Curly. Rounding out the supporting cast are the likes of Jane Lynch, Larry David, Jennifer Hudson, Sophia Vergara, Craig Bierko, and Stephen Collins.
