Conan O'Brien "officially" in talks with FOX
The pre-maturely ousted talk show host may have a busy few months ahead of him. Not only his new comedy tour, but possibly a new show
It was rumored that when Coco first left the "Tonight Show" he would more than likely be headed over to Fox with a new show, but those were just rumors...until now.
AP is reorting that O'Brien is officially in talks with the Fox network to start up a new talk show. Leslee Dart, O'Brien's rep said that Fox "is by no means the only place he's talking now."
It is unclear of when the show would actually start, but speculation states that the show would begin mid-season, instead of the standard Fall start time and would likely take up the 11 pm, (Eastern) time slot, which has been slotted for syndicated shows like "The Simpsons."
It has also been rumored that Comedy Central wanted to bring him over as well, as well as several other networks. There may be talk of giving him a "fringe" time slot, much like Ellen Degeneres or Oprah currently has.
