Has Scorsese found his Sinatra and Martin?
The Oscar winning director has a Frank Sinatra biopic in the works and has his eyes set on a famous duo to play the crooner pair of Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin
Oscar winning director Martin Scorsese has wanted to do a Frank Sinatra biopic for quite some time and in a recent interview with The Hindu, he states that he's even got an early script ready to go. Who would he get to play the main of Old Blue Eyes? From the article:
I'm yet to spot the actor who can bring back Frank Sinatra alive on screen. My choice is Al Pacino, and Robert De Niro as Dean Martin.”
There are some other names being tossed around as well, including Johnny Depp and George Clooney, who is Nancy Sinatra's choice to play her dad.
I think any one of these actors would be a great choice, but I think it all comes down to what part of Sinatra's life the film will be based on. If they are going with the early years, Depp would be great, mid-life, Clooney would be great and later in life, Pacino. You can't go wrong with any one of them. This would be a great film to see, as I'm a fan of Sinatra and the rest of the Rat pack.
