Details On New Torchwood Series Revealed!
Writer John Fay says that the upcoming fourth season will be the most ambitious yet and talks about how the show will appeal to old and new fans alike...
The writer told Syfylove that show creator Russell T. Davies is keen to move it forward with a ten episode season called The New World. "Like anything in life, you can rest on your laurels or you can try to push on again and achieve something new. That is what Russell has done. On Children of Earth he had a very clear and defined vision, but what he has outlined for The New World is equally, if not more ambitious than before."
Fay then went on to confirm that the new season will relaunch and reboot the show when it airs in 2011 on BBC One in the UK and on Starz in the US but assured that it will still remain faithful to it's history and those that follwed Torchwood since day one.
"We are started from scratch to some degree. But what helps us is we have got such well established characters in Jack (John Barrowman) and Gwen (Eve Myles) that people know and love. Obviously Torchwood is an established show with a clear history which we will refer to, but we also have to embrace people who maybe haven't seen it before."
