The popular comic artist and head of Wildstorm unveiled the first visuals of the upcoming multiplayer game DC Universe Online.
On July 15th, Executive Creative Director Jim Lee gave attendees at the E3 Media and Business Summit a sneak peek at the upcoming DC Universe Online, the massively multiplayer game developed by Sony Online Austin for the PlayStation 3 and PC.

Lee said the project has been in the works for three years, and that players would be able to create their own heroes or villains and interact with the characters of the DC Universe. Then he presented a quick trailer showing heroes like Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash and Green Lantern, as well as villains such as the Joker, Bane, Luthor, Sinestro and Bizarro.

Also included in the trailer were bits of action, shots of cityscapes like Metropolis and Gotham City, and clips of storyboards and character designs.

No release date was given for DC Universe Online, but it may be available as soon as next year. You can learn more at the game's recently-launched MySpace page.
