Millar’s Wanted is Wanted by Hollywood
A big screen version of Mark Millar’s new hit Top Cow comic Wanted is in the works.
Universal Pictures bought the rights to make a feature film out of Mark Millar’s Wanted, a Top Cow comic about the long-lost son of a famous super-villain coming into his birthright amid a society of super-criminals, Variety said.
Millar will exec produce along with Kickstart’s Jason Netter and Top Cow exec Marc Silvestri. No writer has been named.
Here’s how the trade describes the book: "’Wanted’ is a dark tale with a dearth of good guys. A nebbishy white-collar worker who hates job, girlfriend and life discovers he's the son of the most evil supervillain on Earth. When Dad is assassinated, the angry young man inherits his father's superpowers and starts life among the other super-villains who secretly control the planet.”
U.K. tabloid the Daily Star, known to throw out outrageous casting rumors as fact, claims rapper/actor Eminem is up for the lead.
