Batman Begins and Batman vs. Superman Update
Even as Batman Begins moves forward, it appears the Batman vs. Superman movie project is stuck in limbo.

There’s new details on some of the U.K. locations where Batman Begins is being shot. Reportedly, part of the movie will be shot at or near the gothic St. Pancras Chambers in London this week, according to a Superhero Hype source.

Meanwhile, shots from the set at the Ivinghoe Aston quarry which include a miniature scale of the Mentmore Towers (doubling for Wayne Manor) made to look as if it’s been torched, are online here.
Also, Guy Pearce, who had reportedly been approached by director Chris Nolan for the role of Bruce Wayne/Batman, told Moviehole that never happened. "I never spoke to Chris about it, there was never any thought about it," Pearce said. "I heard about it through the Internet and went 'Oh that could be sort of interesting'. If I was ever to do a Batman it would be with Chris Nolan, But it was funny, as I almost felt like I was experiencing a bit of that without even having to go to work. It was kind of a nice rumor I guess."
Finally, Troy director Wolfgang Petersen says both his Batman vs. Superman movie and the stand-alone Superman movie are on the shelf at Warner Bros. for now.
Petersen told In Focus magazine that the conflict in Troy mirrors what he had in mind for Batman vs. Superman. "The two main characters in our movie, Achilles [Brad Pitt] and Hector [Eric Bana], are enemies and have the big, big, major fight in the movie - and you feel for both of them, because you connect to both of them," Petersen explains. "Both of them are part of yourself - with Achilles being the darker, more aggressive, edgy character and Hector the more positive, noble man.
"I mean, we have Batman and Superman in ourselves," he says. "We like Batman - we understand him, we suffer with him. On the other hand, we want to be Superman," he said. "But they're conflicting philosophies. Let's bring them together in one movie and see how we, as an audience, wrestle with our inner demons."
