Spider-Man 2 Clips Shown on ET

New scenes from the Spider-Man 2 film made it onto Entertainment Tonight last night. Here’s a description.
Entertainment Tonight ran a spot promoting the Spider-Man 2 movie that featured some behind-the-scenes filming as well new finished footage from the film.

In it, star Tobey Maguire told ET that he likes that most of the fans that approach about the film are little kids and that sets up a shot in which Peter Parker is apparently aided by several kids in helping Aunt May move out of her house (?).

Shots of Alfred Molina as Dr. Octopus include him choking Peter Parker, throwing a car through the window of a bank in which Peter and Aunt May are talking (followed by Peter running away to turn into Spidey), and a shot of Doc Ock tipping his hat with one of his robotic arms.

Kirsten Dunst described the film as "beautiful" and more like a comic book than the previous film in look and feel. That was followed by a shot of Peter running through a dark alley changing into the Spider-Man outfit.

Other shots included: Spider-Man rescuing two small kids from the path of a speeding bus; an extended battle atop a moving subway train in which Doc Ock throws Spider-Man at an upcoming bridge (which Spidey deftly streamlines his body to slip through); and the now-familiar shot of Harry Osborn (James Franco) looming over an unconscious Spidey with a knife.

Director Sam Raimi hinted at the third Spider-Man movie by saying that the plot of the second, an especially the ending, sets up expectation for Spider-Man 3.

Dunst and Maguire also presented an award at the MTV Movie Awards along with Ellen DeGeneres who clowned with Maguire about stealing his Spider-Man suit.

The film debuts June 30.
