Marvel Updates Movie Line-up Plans
The House of Ideas held its fourth quarter earnings call for investors and had lots to say about upcoming films.
Here's what Marvel Enterprises Inc. and exec Avi Arad told shareholders about its movie plans:
- X-Men 3: The third will be better than the first two and Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart are all signed on, Arad said. A videogame has been put into development early.
- Fantastic Four: A new poster is due out in days. Promotion will be on par with Spider-Man and the trailer will show with Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, Kingdom of Heaven and even Batman Begins.
- Ghost Rider: Although word had it this film would be out in early 2006, Arad said it'll be a summer movie.

Marvel Character Animated Direct-to-Video Projects in Development
Partnership with Lions Gate to develop, produce and distribute original animated DVD features. Four projects in 2D/3D format are in development with the first release slated for 2006. Characters include: The Avengers 1, The Avengers 2 and Iron Man.
Marvel Character Animated TV Projects in Development
Partnership with Antefilms Distribution to produce an original animated television series based on the Fantastic Four. 26, thirty-minute 2D/3D animated episodes are planned with initial TV airings in 2006.
Marvel Character Live Action TV Projects in Development
Blade and Brother Voodoo are two Marvel characters that are in development.
