Green Hornet Movie Back on Track?

A new development indicates the Green Hornet, Kato and the Black Beauty may make it to the big screen after all.
After many fits and starts including the much-talked up casting of George Clooney and Jet Li in the lead roles, the Green Hornet movie may be back on track.

Disney Enterprises just registered the Web site domain name: "GreenHornettheMovie.com" which gives some indication the studio intends to go through with the movie after all.

The Green Hornet began as a pulp novel adventure hero in the 1930s and then went on to gain much larger fame as a radio show and as a movie serial hero.

In the 1960s, a short-lived TV series was launched to capitalize on the popularity of the Batman TV show. Bruce Lee was cast as Kato, chauffeur of the Black Beauty and martial artist, who accompanied the Green Hornet in his war on the underworld. The Hornet, who was secretly newspaper publisher Britt Reid, routinely led crooks to believe he was one of them in order to infiltrate their ranks.

At one point, Kevin Smith was attached to direct the film but he dropped out of the project, further contributing to its development limbo status.
