Eric Bana Says He Plays a Different Hulk

LOS ANGELES - Eric Bana says this Hulk is different. Bana plays the green monster's alter-ego Dr. Bruce Banner in "The Hulk."
Bana said once he got the role, he started digging through old comics and watching every version of the Hulk he could find. Bana said it was difficult because there were so many different forms of interpretation of the character.
Bana said director Ang Lee told him to forget it all. "Here's our script, we're serving ourselves," Bana told AP Radio. "We are coming up with something of our own. Your responsibility is to come up with this character," Bana said.
Bana said the computer generated image of the Hulk seems to come to life. "I've actually given the CGI creature, character, which is one thing you kind of hope for. That was the thing that really blew me away about the special effects," he said.
"The Hulk" opens Friday.
