Veronica Mars is a 'Hero' Part II: Kristen Speaks!
In an exclusive TV Guide Q&A, the former Veronica Mars dishes on her upcoming visit to the land of Heroes.
"It is all part of my plan for world domination," Kristen Bell told TV Guide's Michael Ansiello about her newest gig, "and by world, I mean Fanboy World."
She never really got to taste the life of an unemployed actor after the heartbreaking cancellation of her cult-hit CW series Veronica Mars. At the recent San Diego Comic-Con, promoting her new flick Fanboys, Kristen spent a lot of the time with some of the Heroes cast.
"I was actually sitting on the train [back from San Diego] with Zachary Quinto and I said, 'I would love to work with you guys.' And somehow, somebody made it happen."
Part of the appeal for Kristen of doing Heroes was the fact that the producers made it a limited 13-episode gig, positioned early in the season. But that doesn't mean she'd be averse to extending her involvement.
"I'm kind of excited to go into this family, because doing a new show always feels a little like switching schools; it's exciting but it's also really nerve-wracking. But this feels like I'm transferring to a school that all of my friends already go to."
About her character, Elle, she'd reveal very little, beyond confirming that she is superpowered. "It's going to be a really, really fun character--that much I can tell you."
As for the buzz that she will be stepping into Zachary Quinto's villainous shoes when he takes off to play Young Spock in Star Trek XI?
"I kind of hope so," Kristen admitted. "It would be really nice to play the bad guy."
