Is MEGAN GALE the Wonder Woman of 'JUSTICE LEAGUE'?
Here we go again: the new rumor from Down Under has model Megan Gale as the front runner for George Miller's Amazon Princess.
I've never agreed more heartily with Moviehole's CLINT MORRIS: "These Wonder Woman casting rumours are becoming about as annoying as warts on one's ass."
According to ROS REINES of the (Australian) Daily Telegraph, the ACTUAL top contender for the role of Wonder Woman in George Miller's Justice League of America movie is runway model Megan Gale (Stealth). Because, as they say, former "sure thing" Teresa Palmer (December Boys) is so last week.
Reines attributed the rumor to unnamed "industry sources."
No one denies that Gale was, in fact, spotted at Fox Studios Sydney, where Miller will lense the ensemble superhero flick. And Internet commentators note that Gale's exotic looks more closely favor the accepted ideal of the Amazon princess than do the blonde hair and fair skin of Palmer.
Reines added that an official announcement on the role is expected next Tuesday, November 6. However, he cited no source for this information.
Meanwhile, Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Live Free or Die Hard) told MTV News that she remains hopeful about her chances of being cast, even going so far as to consider what sort of personal training she might need for the role. One can't blame her continued optimism. Once the rumor-mongers tire of Gale, they may swing Winstead's way.
