'JUSTICE LEAGUE' Movie News

As Australian industry professionals gear up for work on the picture, the question right now is: Who would Eva Green play in Justice League of America?
Film industry insiders recently informed The Daily Telegraph that French star Eva Green (The Golden Compass, Casino Royale) "jetted into the Harbour city [Sydney]" to audition for director George Miller's Justice League of America.

"Whom is Green auditioning for in Justice League?" asked Moviehole's CLINT MORRIS. "I think she’d make a pretty fly Wonder Woman...but hasn’t Megan Gale got that role? Or has she?"

RAFE TELSCH at Cinema Blend is skeptical of any news regarding JLA, but did note that "Eva Green would be an interesting casting choice because...she’s definitely an actress to watch right now. Then again, this could just be more useless speculation and baseless rumors."

Despite Telsch's ambivalence, it appears that there is, in fact, activity on the production. The Alliance--the union which covers Austalian media, entertainment, sports and arts professionals--posted on their website Dec 20 that they'll be meeting with JLA producers "early in the New Year to discuss the engagement of crew." Additionally, Australian illustrator and film/TV concept artist Vivienne To noted on her own site that she "is currently working on the Warner Bros. feature film Justice League."

Neoskosmos (Au) managed to get a quote out of Miller himself regarding the flick: "The Justice League superheroes are in fact related to ancient Greek gods and that will be my reference point."

Justice League of America will showcase a blend of live-action, motion-capture, and CGI animation. The film is to be shot at Fox Studios in 2008.
