Brittany Snow Enjoys Her PROM NIGHT

A slew of young starlets (and 'old' pros) dazzles at the Prom Night World Premiere.
Jamie Lee Curtis didn't show her famous face, but Hollywood's Cinerama Dome still was glutted with (mostly baby-faced) personalities on Wednesday night for the World Prom-iere of Screen Gems' new Prom Night. Stars Brittany Snow (top) and Johnathon Schaech (right), Director Nelson McCormick, this season's Beauty and the Geek (for some reason) and many others walked the red carpet, dressed up as if for a real prom.

Produced by Marc Forby & Neal H. Moritz, Prom Night is, ostensibly, a remake of the 70s slasher that starred "scream queen" Curtis. But the new PG-13 version (which was not previewed for critics) has altered the story significantly, changing the high school prom-crashing killer from a vengeful spy to an obsessed stalker.

"This was definitely something that I had to really think about and kind of weigh all my options," Snow told CanMag's FRED TOPEL. She'd never wanted to do a teen horror movie, but the director sold her on his vision of the script by J.S. Cardone. "After meeting with Nelson McCormick a few times, talking over the script with him and kind of sharing my ideas and what he thought for the movie and his changes to the script and how it was different from the original and what he was thinking, I was really, really interested."

Prom Night opens in theaters today.
