Joe Dante Directing BAT OUT OF HELL

A new indie horror film from Parallel Zide and VooDoo Productions titled Bat out of Hell will be directed by Joe Dante.

Joe Dante (Gremlins, The Howling) has long had close ties to horror films and now he continues with the genre as he takes the helm of Bat out of Hell.

Written by Drew McWeeny (of AICN) and Scott Swan, Bat out of Hell centers on a red-eye flight from L.A. to New York during which hijackers confront the monstrous cargo.

The film is expected to start shooting later this year.
