DVD RELEASE: 'Saiyuki Reload Gunlock' Anime
Geneon will release the first volume of the Saiyuki Reload Gunlock anime series on April 25. Volume One will include the first four episodes of the 26-episode series and will have a suggested retail price of $29.98. The DVD will also be available in a full color Collectors Box Edition (MSRP $39.98), which will include two exclusive transparent pencil boards.
The Saiyuki Reload Gunlock anime is the sequel to the popular Saiyuki and Saiyuki Reload anime series, and it continues to expand on the classic Chinese folktale, Journey to the West, which provided the basis for Kazuya Minekura's Saiyuki manga. Tokyopop is currently releasing the Saiyuki Gunlock manga series (Volume #3 comes out in March) and Geneon and Tokyopop plan to cross-promote the anime and manga series.
