Hellboy Toon Art and News

An update on the Cartoon Newtork's two planned films and more…
There are more details emerging about the two animated Hellboy movies planned for later this year or early next year on the Cartoon Network.

The 75-minute films will also be released on DVD and there’s a videogame on the way, according to CHUD.com.

Disney animation veteran Tad Stones says the first film "is like Alice in Wonderland in some ways" and takes place in the realm of Japanese folklore, while the second delves into the history of Hellboy's 'father' Professor Broom and is being compared to an animated Hammer film," according to the Web site.

Hellboy creator Mike Mignola will take part in the project and actors Ron Perlman, Selma Blair and John Hurt will voice the characters they played in Guillermo del Toro's film.
