'FAMILY GUY' pushes on without MacFarlane

With creator-star Seth MacFarlane on strike, Fox TV is soldiering on with new episodes.
The first new Family Guy episode without creator/exec producer Seth MacFarlane has been delivered to Fox, according to NELLIE ANDREEVA of The Hollywood Reporter.

20th Century Fox TV would not comment on the matter Tuesday except to confirm that it is producing fresh episodes of the animated comedy. Sources have said that three more new episodes are close to completion and several additional shows are in development.

In outspoken defiance of his employers, MacFarlane joined the Writers Guild strike on 5 November. The last new Family Guy episode with his involvement aired November 11.

MacFarlane, who voices Peter, Brian and Stewie Griffin on the series, said Friday that Fox could proceed without him, though he hoped it would not, as it would hurt his relationship with the studio.
