Marvel is moving forward full gear to get all their super heroes some face time and a new animated series is set to show off some major hero team ups.
The "Marvel Super Hero Squad" is coming soon from Marvel Entertainment. The new animated series will be "super stylized" aimed at 6 to 8 year-olds featuring the likes of Iron Man, Hulk, Wolverine, Thor, Fantastic Four and Captain America as they battle villains like Doctor Doom, Magneto, Loki, the Abomination and more.

The show is aiming to be ready for 2009 and they are seeking out a network for it to air. Twenty six Episodes are planned.

Marvel Entertainment president of animation Eric Rollman commented on their plans; "This initiative is part of an overall strategy to create new brands and maximize exposure for the characters in the Marvel universe by keeping them fresh and relevant for a new audience and to provide a consistent presence in the marketplace."

Also part of the "Marvel Super Hero Squad" Marvel is teaming up wtih Hasbro for a new toy line, there will be a "Squad" comic book from Marvel Comics and plans for a direct-to-video animated feature in 2010.
