In Marvel's new Direct-to-DVD animated feature, the original Avengers are gone, paving the way for their children--the Next Avengers!
"Whenever the forces of evil threatened mankind, Earth's mightiest heroes, the Avengers, were there to stop them--until they made the ultimate sacrifice in their final fight with the indestructible robot, Ultron."

It's an attention-grabbing opening to the official synopsis for Next Avengers: Heroes of Tomorrow, the upcoming 5th animated movie from Lionsgate/Marvel, and the first to be rated PG. But, as the title suggests, that tragedy is only the beginning, not the end, of this new superheroic adventure.

Billionaire bachelor Tony Stark (aka Iron Man) fosters and protects the children of the fallen Avengers: James (Son of Captain America and Black Widow), Torunn (Daughter of Thor), Azari (Son of the Black Panther) and Pym (Son of Wasp and Giant Man). Aided by The Incredible Hulk, Stark trains them to be the teenage heroes of tomorrow.

Along with the arrow-slinging son of Hawkeye, the Next Avengers suddenly find themselves Earth¹s only hope to stop the same deadly foe who killed their parents.

Tom Kane (Wolverine and the X-Men) voices both Ultron and Tony Stark.

Next Avengers: Heroes of Tomorrow, which will be screened at San Diego's Comic-Con International on Friday July 25, hits DVD September 2nd.
