Clive Owen to star in 'Recall'
New action thriller for star of 'Trust' and 'Killer Elite'.
Variety reports that Clive Owen has been attached to star in the Moonstone Entertainment action-thriller 'Recall'. Owen will play NSA agent and decorated military hero James Forjac, who must puzzle out the pieces of a botched hostage rescue operation, hindered by questions about his memories and his sanity and the fact that there's no one out there he can trust.
The screenplay was written by Paul Schrader, who wrote the screenplays for classics like 'Raging Bull' and 'Taxi Driver', and will be directed by Harold Becker (Sea of Love, Malice, Mercury Rising).
While this sounds similar to every other action-thriller out there, Owen is an actor who can and often does bring a new dimension to the films in which he's involved. He was no less than brilliant in the recent David Schwimmer-directed 'Trust', and the one bright spot in the late-summer actioner 'Killer Elite'. 'Recall' is one to look forward to, if only to see his performance.
