Stumbling Through 30 Days of Night

Director David Slade, who is helming 30 Days of Night (an adaptation of Steve Niles' graphic novel), has done a video interview in which he talks about his struggles to remain true to the comic.

The Columbia Pictures film comes out Oct. 19, 2007 and is described as follows: "The horror film is set in a sleepy, secluded Alaska town called Barrow, where the sun sets and doesn't rise for over thirty consecutive days and nights. From the darkness, across the frozen wasteland, an evil will come that will bring the residents of Barrow to their knees. The only hope for the town is the Sheriff (Josh Hartnett) and Deputy, a husband and wife who are torn between their own survival and saving the town they love."
