LOS ANGELES - 'Hulk' director Ang Lee's on the small side. But, he got to be "The Hulk" for a crucial time while the movie was being made.

To show the computer team exactly how he wanted the Hulk to move, he put on a special "motion capture" suit and pretended to be the Hulk.

"For months and months, I'd have to do like two sections a week. Sometimes one session would last eight hours," Lee told AP Radio. "Stomping, smashing and bursting. It takes a toll on me. It's feels good afterwards, but then the next day I start to feel it." Lee said.

Lee says he always planned to give cameos to Stan Lee and original TV Hulk Lou Ferrigno. "It's a great thing to pay homage to the original creator and the heroes. At least for me, that's how I know about the Hulk, the green makeup. I think it's a good thing to bring them back for cameo roles," Lee said.

But, Lee had to be careful where he put them in the cameos. "I tried my best to put them here and there, but somehow it stopped the flow. It's a show stopper," Lee said.

Lee said he finally decided to put them at the very beginning, the first shot. "It's very amusing and it doesn't hurt the flow of the movie," Lee said.
