Will there be an Incredible sequel?

Fans of the hit Pixar animated movie The Incredibles have some possibly good news in store for them. In an interview for his latest movie premiere, Ratatouille, director Brad Bird comments on the possibility of an Incredibles sequel.
In the interview with the Associated Press;

I love the world. I love the characters, and if I could come with a story that was as good or better than the original, I'd go there in a second. I have pieces of things that I would love to see in a sequel, but I haven't got them all together yet, and I certainly wouldn't want to come out there with something that is less than the original. ... Sequels are not part of the business plan at Pixar. It's all about the filmmakers being passionate about going somewhere.

However, as titillating as this news is, the voice behind Frozone, the memorable African-American crime fighter from the first Incredibles is ready to put the kaibosh on any sequels. In an interview he said;

“The last time I heard about a sequel was when The Incredibles was coming out. I haven’t heard anything since then.”

I guess we can just wait and see whether Bird’s schedule, which includes the live action film depicting the San Franciscan earthquake of 1906, will allow for a sequel.
