UK Messageboard Provides Behind-the-Scenes

'DrFixit' over at SHH found this post from a UK resident on the official The Hulk message board about the behind-the-scenes special which aired on Sky Premier 3...

First we had Jennifer Connelly (drool) speaking. She talks about how Betty grew up as sort of an Army brat and her "thing" is about healing things and how she is working on this project involving 'nano-mets/nano-meds' (couldn't distinguish exactly what it was but it was definitely along those lines) and it's all about healing wounds within the bodies of organisms. She also said that she was all about trying to heal Bruce and that from a scientific and emotional side she is trying to put everything back together.

Then we had Ang Lee and his talk actually made me laugh (you'd have to see him while he was speaking to understand why though). He was mostly talking about his approach to the film (the Greek tragedy/psychodrama thing) he said:

"It's not just rage, it's not just you wanna smash or work or something, or punching somebody or throwing a tank across the desert. It's the real you, the alter ego and i hope people realise that our charachters, everything we do is maybe coverage of what we really wanted to be, of waht we really are."

Then we had Dennis Muren (the visual effects guy). At this point i should note that there was a very interesting picture behind Muren of the Hulk. I could not tell whether it was art or an actual still but it looked very good. It waas the Hulks face (very clear so now i know what he looks like in the movie proper!) and about a quarter of his upper body (and let me say that the Hulk literally has NO neck, just a LOT of muscle!!!). He's in the desert and is looking off into the distance in a camera facing direction (of course!). Well anyway he said:

"Ang came to me and said 'imagine that you and i and the universe are made up of the same molecules, that we are all one and so is the Hulk. How do we show that on screen?' Ang's Point of view on the film is different to anything i've ever worked on. it's almost like a spiritual journey that you take with Bruce Banner".

All the footage shown from the film itself was things we had seen before. Thanks also to 'Dave_Angel'.
