The New York red carpet premiere for New Line Cinema’s The Golden Compass, was held Monday, 3 December. Stars Dakota Blue Richards (Lyra Belacqua), Eva Green (Serafina Pekkala) and Sam Elliott (Lee Scoresby), along with director Chris Weitz, were in attendance.
In addition, Katharine Ross (Elliott's spouse and star of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid), Frederique Van Der Wal, Joan Allen, Michael & Ninah Lynne, Peyton List, Sadie Friedman, Topher Grace and New Line's Robert Shaye (director of The Last Mimzy) showed up to celebrate the film.
Though The IESB's STEPHANIE SANCHEZ posted pics of most attendees, one would think The Golden Compass was actually "The Eva Green Show", to judge by the astounding number of images featuring the Casino Royale beauty--even pics of her hands! Not that this writer is complaining...
