Jennifer Garner Wants to be a Klingon

We all know that J.J. Abrams is working on the latest Star Trek film, so what about his favorite gal, Jennifer Garner?
From the time he first saw her from the producers chair on Felicity, J.J. Abrams has loved Jennifer Garner. He brought her to his now acclaimed Alias, and the pair is now fast friends. So it is no surprise that Garner wants to be a part of anything that Abrams does in the future.

Add to that her own apparent Trekkie-ness (of which I was clueless), Jennifer Garner has stepped forward and said that she wants to play a Klingon in the next Star Trek movie, currently being directed by Abrams.

Speaking to MTV Movie Blogs, Garner said that not only would she “…do anything for him,” but that “I just want to be a Klingon in the movie.” She’s even willing to settle for a cameo; “I just want to walk through as a Klingon.”

Until now Klingon’s haven’t really been discussed as appearing in the new incarnation of Trek. The movie, which is set in the past (relatively speaking) in the academy days of young Kirk, Spock, etc, is apparently bent on reshaping all of Trek history. The movie is set to be a total reshift, destroying the current timeline and going forth, without the restrictions three subsequent TV series and 4 movies will have had on any future series.

Needless to say, Klingon’s haven’t been brought up, but is this a roundabout way of letting us all know that they are in there? Is the deal already set in stone between Garner and Abrams? Who knows, either way, look for the latest Star Trek film Boxing Day of this year.
