Lead Girl for Bond 22 Chosen; No, it’s not Atherton!

We’ve had a lot of news for Bond 22, which began filming today, so who is going to play the lead Bond girl?
Hot on the heels of Gemma Atherton being named as a Bond girl, we’ve got news of who is going be cast as the lead Bond girl. For aficionados of the James Bond movies, you’ll be well aware that there are almost always two ladies, one for Bond to flirt with and one with whom Bond ... well, you get the idea!

Ukrainian actress Olga Kurylenko has landed the coveted role, after her being cast opposite Timothy Olyphant in 2007’s Hitman. According to the producers, who announced the casting choice on Monday, she will be playing the “alluring Camille.”

Given her ancestry, one would that Kurylenko will be playing the one who Bond ends up coupled with at some point, while Atherton has been cast to play MI6 Agent Fields; opening bets are being taken that Agent Fields is a double agent for someone (yeah, it’s just my theory!).

The film is set to debut late this year, varying dates throughout November.
