'AEON FLUX' Director Gets 'JENNIFER'S BODY'

Fox Atomic has tapped Karyn Kusama to direct Transformers star Megan Fox in Jennifer's Body, the latest flick from Juno scribe Diablo Cody.
Variety's MICHAEL FLEMING reports that Karyn Kusama (Girlfight) will helm Fox Atomic's supernatural horror-comedy Jennifer's Body, which stars Transformers hottie Megan Fox.

Written by Diablo Cody (Juno), Jennifer's Body refers to the supremely comely form of a small-town cheerleader (Fox) which, thanks to a Satan-worshiping rock band, becomes possessed by a demon. This unfortunate event leads Jennifer to slaughter the lustful teen males of her sleepy Minnesota hamlet, until her best friend steps in to end the carnage.

"It’s a horror movie, and it’s also about teenagers," the Golden Globe-nominated Cody explained to MTV's LARRY CARROLL, by way of describing her Heathers-type dark comedy. "It’s just, to me, teenagers are cool. And Megan Fox is hot."

"Admittedly, it sounds interesting, and since it is worlds apart from [the Kusama-directed] Aeon Flux we can't judge Kusama based on that effort," wrote BRAD BREVET at Ropeofsilicon.com. "Who knows, this may be right down her alley."

Dan Dubiecki and Juno helmer Jason Reitman will produce with Mason Novick. Filming of Jennifer's Body begins in early March.
