Connor Chronicles Comes In All Guns Blazing

Whether it is because of a dire need for new television, or that the show is really top notch, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles kicked ass last night.
Debuting Sunday night on Fox, Connor managed to score the best opening-night demographic ratings of any new show in three years, according to Variety. The ratings were apparently boosted by strong marketing and a big NFL playoffs lead-in. However one would almost suggest that, as a result of failing TV shows thanks to the writers’ strike, anything new was a good thing.

The show cashed in with 7.6 ratings, 18 share among adults 18-49 and brought in 18.3 million viewers with its one hour debut. For Fox specifically, it’s the best premiere numbers for a scripted show in eight years, ever since Malcolm in the Middle debuted in 2000.

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles has moved in to its regular Monday 9pm (Eastern) time slot last night.
