Dominic West NOT to play Destro
The rumor bubble has burst regarding the G.I Joe villain.
Metal-Masked Scottish arms dealer Destro is set to be the main villain in the upcoming G.I Joe movie, and a recent posting at Latino Review said that actor Dominic West was a top choice for the part.
Apparently, not so much. A high up source at Paramount recently gave IESB.net a flat out “no” regarding West. The actor, best known for playing corrupt Spartan politician Theron in “300” isn't on the list of actors that paramount is considering for the part, said the source. No word on who will be playing the part, although casting is being narrowed down. Producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura has said previously that we're only weeks away from hearing an official announcement.
