Bionic Woman Makes a Killing in the UK
One of my favorite new shows of late has been the revamped Bionic Woman. I like the way the show worked, and I liked the cast of characters I was watching. Sadly low ratings combined with the writers’ strike have left the show stranded. However maybe good news has come?
The Bionic Woman debuted last week in Great Britain, and scored record ratings. Airing on Britain’s ITV2 network, a free-to-air entertainment network, the show was watched by an average of 2.2 million Poms.
Bionic Woman is likely to be axed, sadly, but could this record rating once again remind NBC that the show had legs? Or is the show likely to have achieved these ratings only because lead Michelle Ryan is an original Brit, who starred on one of their most popular shows, East Enders?
