MTV provided the first set visit to the Spider-Man sequel during its pre-game show for the MTV Movie Awards on Thursday night.

Interviewed were stars Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst and director Sam Raimi.

Here's a rundown of the highlights:

* The stars say secrecy about the movie's plot is being enforced.

"When they give me the script, they put my name on it. If it gets out, they know who it was," Maguire said.

"The first time I got new pages, I put them through the paper shredder," Dunst said. "I was like very serious. Now I just throw them away in the garbage. So anybody who wants to know about Spider-Man, you can go through my trash."

* Dunst on Mary Jane: "She has a new boyfriend and she gets engaged. I like my character better in this one. There's more stuff for me to do in this that's not just screaming and flailing.

* Maguire addressed his back pain. "Fortunately, it's feeling pretty good now and everything's going well," he said, adding that the film uses more Hong Kong-style stunts.

* Raimi talked about the Spider-cam used to film swinging scenes. "It really is the first we've got a device now that can create for the audience the feeling of Spider-Man soaring through the city," Raimi said.

* The piece ends with Dunst giving a tour of Mary Jane's apartment. "MJ's getting into theater during this film, so she's becoming an actress," Dunst said.

Dunst said the couch plays a role in a scene. "This is where I make out with my boyfriend in the movie. I make him tilt his head back like Spider-Man 1 and I make out with upside down to try to recreate some passion," Dunst said.
