Heath Ledger Lands Expected Oscar Nomination
The late star was recognized as Best Supporting Actor for his performance as The Joker in The Dark Knight.
According to Newsarama's MATT BRADY, The Dark Knight was acknowledged in several technical categories - Achievement in Art Direction, Achievement in Film Editing, Achievement in Make Up, Achievement in Sound Editing, Achievement In Sound Mixing and Achievement in Visual Effects.
The Oscars will be presented February 22nd from the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood. The ceremony will be televised on ABC and hosted by Hugh Jackman.
