Pilot Vet Nutter Directing ABC's EASTWICK
Director David Nutter has signed on to helm the pilot of Eastwick, Warner Bros TV's adaptation of the 1987 film The Witches of Eastwick.
Eastwick, about three women who discover they have supernatural powers after a mysterious man arrives in their small town, appealed to Nutter because of the strength of the concept that writer-executive producer Maggie Friedman has developed for the series. (The 1987 film was based on the novel by John Updike.)
Nutter's pilot tally in recent years includes Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Smallville and Supernatural.
