The show's executive producer Josh Schwartz is apparently casting younger versions of Chuck and Ellie at age 7 and 11. They're played in the present day by Zachary Levi and Sarah Lancaster respectively.
The news follows the announcement that Scott Bakula has signed on to reprise his role as Chuck's father Steve for a multi-episode arc. Schwartz also recently declared that Bakula’s Chuck comeback would be "the biggest thing we’ve ever done on the show. When you piece all of this together, it seems we might be in for some big revelations come the end of this season! Could it finally be time to meet...Chuck's mother!?
