'Twilight's' Kellan Lutz wakes up to 'Dawn of War'
Kellan Lutz, who stars as Emmett Cullen in the “Twilight” movies, is waking up for “Dawn of War,” the Greek myth fantasy movie Tarsem Singh is directing for Relativity Media. Universal is distributing domestically.
The story centers on the conflict between the Greek gods and the elder gods known as the Titans, whose king Hyperion (Mickey Rourke) is on a murderous rampage across Greece.
Lutz is playing the water god Poseidon, who joins Theseus (Henry Cavill) in the fight to stop the Titans.
Jason Keller worked on the most recent draft of the screenplay, which was originally written by Christian Gudegast.
Gianni Nunnari and Mark Canton are producing with Relativity’s Ryan Kavanaugh.
Production will begin in early April.
Innovative-repped Lutz also stars in the upcoming remake of “A Nightmare on Elm Street.”
