True Blood to become ongoing comic book series

The novels turned hit t.v. show now set to become a comic book.
Entertainment weekly is reporting that the current hit HBO show True Blood, which is itself based off of several novels, is now being turned into an ongoing comic book series. The book is being published by IDW publishing and will be released in July. The comic will feature storylines that will be faithful to the mythology of the show, but will be different than the ones featured in the show. The comic will feature such artist as David Messina (Angel) and J. Scott Campbell (Danger Girl). Several writers on the show will be working with the writers on the comic, and the comics will include all the shows major characters, including Sookie and Bill.

Ah, I don't really watch any of the new wave of vampire stuff. But I know some people who enjoy True Blood. (I always preferred werewolves anyways, haha).

True Blood is a very decent show. You should try it out. I really worried that it's not going to be as good when it comes back on.
