Spielberg returns to television with new sci-fi show on Fox
Steven Spielberg's latest T.V. project about time travel gets 13 episode commitment
Steven Spielberg has ventured into T.V. production before, with shows such as Amazing Stories and seaquest. Now he turns his attention to a new T.V. project to appear on Fox. The show, titled Terra Nova, will revolve around a futuristic family who travels 150 million years into the past to the time of dinosaurs. The show is currently in development and Fox has "unofficially" ordered 13 episodes. The show will be produced by Spielberg, and will be headed by Brannon Braga. That name is familiar to sci-fi fans due to the fact that Braga was intrical in the Star Trek universe. He has worked in some capacity on three of the four post original Star Trek series (Next Generation, Voyager, Enterprise) and also wrote Generations and First Contact. For the past 2 seasons he has also on 24 and Flash Forward. Reports are surfacing that Kyle Chandler (The coach on Friday Night lights) is in negotiations to star as the lead.
