Keanu Reeves To play A Role in 'Akira' Manga
Warner Bros wants Reeves to play the role of Kaneda in the film adaptation of the Manga, Akira.
Keanu Reeves in talks to star in live-action version of 'Akira' and discussions with Warner Bros are going well.
The film tells the story of a biker gang leader who tries to save his best friend from a medical experiment. According to Hollywoodrepoter.com, the studio has had trouble finding lead actors for the Albert Hughes-directed movie, with James Franco, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Robert Pattinson and Michael Fassbender all rumoured to have been in line.
"Reeves doesn't yet have an offer for the role, but we hear the talks with his reps have been going well," stated the news source.
