Sigourney Weaver "Vamps" It Up
Could this be a sign that the vampire genre is closing in on the end of this particular cycle? A humorous approach is being taken to the film "Vamps," which casts Sigourney Weaver as a vampire queen.
Notes The Hollywood Reporter's Heat Vision column, "written by Amy Heckerling... the modern-day story focuses on beautiful young vampires (Alicia Silverstone and Krysten Ritter) who are living the good nightlife in New York until love enters the picture and each has to make a choice that will jeopardize their immortality... Weaver will play Ciccerus, the bloodthirsty vampire who turned the two ladies into creatures of the night. A late April start is being eyed."
