Anton Yelchin Cast in "Fright Night" Remake

According to Variety, actor Anton Yelchin (Mr. Chekov in JJ Abrams' Star Trek) has been cast as teenager Charley Brewster who discovers his next door neighbor is a vampire.
Originally written and directed by Tom Holland, the new take on Fright Night will be directed by Craig Gillespie. The new screenplay, apparently adapted from the original, will be penned by Buffy the Vampire Slayer executive producer Marti Noxon. The original was released in 1985 and starred William Ragsdale as Charley, Chris Sarandon as vampire Jerry Dandridge and Roddy McDowall as movie/TV vampire killer Peter Vincent, who finds himself drawn into Charley's battle with the undead.

Fright Night is one of my favorite vampire movies, so I've definitely got my eye on this one. Having Marti Noxon writing the script and casting Yelton as Charley Brewster is very promising. I read somewhere else a fan suggesting Billy Zane for the role of Jerry Dandridge - I'm not a giant Zane fan, but he might actually be right for it. But HOW do you replace Roddy McDowall as Peter Vincent?
