The New "V" at Comic-Con 2009

We're closing in on the start of San Diego Comic-Con 2009, and for fans of "V" there will be five opportunities to experience different aspects of the show.
6:00 – 9:00: The pilot for the new “V” will be part of a special screening of Warner Bros. pilots held on Comic-Con’s “preview night” on July 22nd. Along with the pilots for Human Target and The Vampire Diaries, “V” will be shown in a block in Ballroom 20.

1:15 – 2:15: Entertainment Weekly – Wonder Women: Female Power Icons in Pop Culture. EW moderates a conversation with Sigourney Weaver (Avatar), Elizabeth Mitchell (“V”, Lost), and Zoe Saldana (Avatar, Star Trek) about the actresses who have redefined the rules, and the female characters that have shattered the glass ceiling for all women. Basically a discussion with women who kick ass. Ballroom 20.

6:15 – 7:15: TV Guide Magazine – Sci-Fi Hot List: TV Guide magazine takes an in-depth look at some of the most buzzed-about new and returning TV series, featuring the hottest talent from in front of the camera and behind the scenes. TV Guide executive editor Craig Tomashoff moderates this panel that offers the inside scoop, along with special surprises. Scheduled participants include Johnny Galecki and Jim Parsons (The Big Bang Theory), Zachary Levi (Chuck), Scott Peters and Scott Wolf (“V”), Rebecca Romijn (Eastwick), Kevin Williamson (The Vampire Diaries), John Cho and Marc Guggenheim (Flash Forward) and Allison DuBois (the real life person behind Medium), among others. 2:45 – 3:45: “V” Pilot Screening and Q&A: Already one of the most talked-about new series of the upcoming television season, catch a special screening of the pilot episode of “V”, a re-imagining of the groundbreaking miniseries, followed by a Q&A with stars Elizabeth Mitchell, Morris Chestnut, Joel Gretsch, Morena Baccarin and Scott Wolf, along with executive producers Scott Peters, Jeffrey Bell, Steve Pearlman and Jace Hall. Ballroom 20.

4:00 – 5:00: We Control the Vertical – Writing and Producing For Television: Some of TV’s most talented writers and show runners discuss the writing and production of your favorite television shows, past and present, and share amusing anecdotes from the television trenches. Starring Dave Simkins (Warehouse 13, Blade: The TV Series, Dresden Files), Javier Grillo-Marxuach (The Middleman, Day One), Charles Murray (“V”, Criminal Minds, Castle), Sarah Watson (The Unknowns, Parenthood), Gabrielle Stanton (Vampire Diaries, Moonlight), Steve Kriozere (NCIS, Dead & Deader, V.I.P.), Steve Melching (The Clone Wars, The Batman), Matthew Federman (Human Target, Jericho), and Ashley E.
